    Del Harries Training & Consultancy are a small, family-run business providing training and

    consultancy services to the social care sector. We pride ourselves on a personal approach,

    offering bespoke packages of training and consultancy tailored to the individual needs of

    our customers.

    Del Harries - Trainer / Care Consultant, Proprietor

     

    Over 27 years’ experience in social care, including training, assessment, consultancy and study work across the UK and in Ireland, Guernsey, Holland and Belgium. Extensive experience of setting up, managing and overseeing registered care services in Wales and England.

     

    Previous roles:   

        

    • Fellow of the University of Wales Trinity St David: GWLAD project (Growing Workforces through Learning and Development) - Workplace Development Fellow

    • Registered Manager for Tracs (six services over 10 years)

    • Responsible Individual / Head of Care for a Camphill Residential College for young people with learning disabilities (overseeing eight registered services)

    • Operations Manager for Milbury-Voyage (overseeing ten registered services: Wales, Gloucestershire and Herefordshire)

    • Studio III trainer / behaviour consultant (qualified 2001)

    • Assessor for BILD’s Physical Interventions Accreditation Scheme

    • Sessional Independent Hospital Manager for a small private psychiatric hospital in SW Wales

    • Associate Trainer for Age UK / BILD / Llaw yn Llaw

     

    Current:

     

    • Registered with the Education Workforce Council (Wales) as a Further Education Teacher

    • Guest Lecturer for Coleg Sir Gar

     

    Specialising in autistic spectrum disorder, acquired brain injury and positive challenging behaviour support (PBS).
