Some of our recent work has included:

     

    • Mentoring: Thanks to academic support from University of Wales Trinity St. David’s College, we now offer specific, individually-tailored programmes of professional mentoring to managers / team-leaders.

    • Providing specialised positive challenging behaviour support (PBS) to some of the UK's largest private care providers.

    • Providing SOVA / POVA training to the office of the Older People’s Commissioner for Wales (on behalf of Age UK).

    • Working with a North / Mid Wales charity on Welsh Assembly-funded workshops to increase community awareness of dementia.

    • Delivering Appraisal, Supervision, Assertiveness & Conflict Management training to UK-wide care providers.

    • Training a small residential service in North London to support clients with Korsakoff's Syndrome.

    • Training social-care staff in Ceredigion to explore risk-assessment of falls in older people (on behalf of Age UK).

    • Facilitating one-day-event conferences for Bild, the UK's leading learning disability charity.

    • Helping a Warwickshire charity to consider human rights based approaches to learning disability.

    • Ongoing Associate work on behalf of BILD and Age UK (formerly Age Concern).

    • Supporting family carers in SW Wales to understand challenging behaviour and dementia.

    • Providing person-centred training and consultancy to a leading North Wales charity (including behaviour support work) to support a number of adults with autism in transition to community based living.

    • Supporting a Midlands-based private hospital in their transition from a reactive secure service to provision of forward-thinking psychiatric rehabilitation and recovery (for people with a learning disability and mental health conditions).
